The Christmas season is upon us! As one songwriter put it, "It's the hap..hapiest season for all." But I am not sure everyone sees it that way. I know there may be some grinches out there as well. No matter your feelings toward this time of year are, it is our prayer that this Christmas season is full of joy for your family.
The Christmas season is the time we celebrate the Advent of Jesus. Not only do we look back at the story of Jesus' birth, but we also recognize his presence with us now. That's why the Advent season is so special. It brings a song to our hearts and a joy to our faith. No matter where you go, you will hear the songs. You may even sing along. The signs of the season will be all around you. You will experience the joy of the Advent season.
This Advent season, allow us to be a part of your family's Christmas festivities. Each Sunday morning we will celebrate the advent season by singing Christmas songs, lighting an Advent candle, and teaching highlighting the meaning of Christmas using a traditional Christmas carol. In addition to our weekend services, we will be having a family fun movie night. Do you like Christmas caroling? We have a couple of caroling night scheduled where you can sing till your heart's content!
